What you can work on
Begin with breathing, sound production and vocal control, then develop pitch, rhythm and expression in stages suited to your goals. Training can include chest voice, head voice and mixed registers, comfortable vocal production and expressive dynamics. Lessons support beginners through advanced singers and those preparing for performance or professional work.
- Vocal technique: Explore your range and voice type, pitch stability, dynamics, resonance and volume. Work on different styles, harmony and backing vocals, building a dependable technique that suits your own voice.
- Ear training: Hear pitch and melodic movement accurately, then reproduce them with your voice. Develop listening as a foundation for secure singing.
- Rhythm and timing: Build reliable timing while feeling the beat and groove of a song. Explore how rhythm works in pop, soul and R&B.
- Learn through your favourite songs: Apply technique within real music. Explore phrasing, dynamics, interpretation and emotional expression. For English-language songs, work on pronunciation, accent and the flow of words.
- Music theory made easy: Connect notation, rhythm and chords with the songs you are singing, so theory becomes practical and meaningful.
- Practise smarter: Identify what to practise and how, with specific guidance for your current challenges and goals.
- Performance and audition preparation: Develop technique, interpretation and stage performance around a song and a specific event.
